MARY E. WOOD, 84, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away at her home on Tuesday July 19, 2005 at her home.
Mary was born May 24th, 1921 in Burlington, Iowa the daughter of Aloys A. and Ethel I. McCray Willem. She has been a resident of Washington since 1995. Mary served in the United States Army during World War II until her discharge in 1946 as a 2nd Lt. Registered Nurse. She was a dedicated mother and mentor to six children, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was a mother and friend to anyone that knew her and she was loved by all. Smart and witty, she always had something to say. She can never be replaced, she was one-of-a-kind. She will be deeply missed. We will always love you.
Mary is survived by four sons, Dana of Sedro-Woolley, Mark and his wife Joann of Lake Stevens, Adam and his wife Peggy of Clear Lake, Matthew and his wife Debra of Arlington. Two daughters, Rachel of Bothell and Abby of Lake Stevens. Grandchildren, Nathan and wife Kim, Nichole and husband Anthony, Dana, Karmen, Leah, Timothy, Samantha, Matthew, Joseph. Great-grandchildren, Shawna, Kobe, and Dana.
The family will be holding a Private Service in which to honor her.

    This was my Grandmother Mary she was my best friend. I miss her and love her very much and hope she is proud of me.
