     Mary Gay Heinzman, 69, a resident of the Lyman community, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the UW Medical Center in Seattle.

     Mary was born on December 2, 1943 in Booneville, Arkansas, the daughter of Horner and Clotha Parks.  She was raised and attended school in Booneville and Wichita, Kansas.

     On August 5, 1961 she was united in marriage to Donald Heinzman in Wichita.  Over the course of the next 15 years they made their home and raised their family in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico until finally settling in Lyman in 1976.

     Mary was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and her dogs, Minnie and Daisey.  For several years she worked as a daycare provider at “Grandma’s Daycare” in Lyman.  Mary enjoyed playing darts, and feeding and watching the hummingbirds around her home, and had numerous feeders around the yard to attract them.

     Mary is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donald, at the family home in Lyman.  Her children and their spouses, Mont & Debbie Heinzman of Lyman, Monica & Larry Fox of Hamilton, Bill & Andrea Heinzman of Punkin Center and Don & Shannon Heinzman of Sedro-Woolley. Eleven grandchildren, Charles Lederle (Jean), Jesse Lederle, Glen Fox, Jennifer Shepherd (Chris), Wesley Heinzman, Austin Heinzman, Ali Gladsjo, Ciara Heinzman, Eden Heinzman, Nathan Torrence and Kayla Kuhne and fourteen great-grandchildren.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joyce Parks.

     A graveside inurnment service will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 11:00am at the Lyman Cemetery.
