Nicholas Verner

Friday, September 8th, 2023

Nicholas Christofer Verner, 29, of Concrete, was taken too soon on Friday, September 8, 2023 in a tragic car accident. He was born May 5, 1994 in Mount Vernon, WA the son of Kirsten Henretty and Brian Verner.

He was set to marry his love, Kassie (White) Verner, on Friday, September 22, 2023, a day that would have marked a new chapter of joy and commitment in their lives. His love for Kassie was boundless, and their relationship was a testament to the power of love and partnership. Nick was a devoted father, husband, brother, son, uncle and a loyal friend. He had the biggest heart and was fiercely protective of his loved ones.

Nick’s loyalty to his friends was legendary. He was a fierce protector, always ready to stand by their side through thick and thin. His friendship was a priceless gift, and his friends considered themselves fortunate to have him in their lives.

Nick is survived by his wife, Kassie Verner; son, Kolton Verner; mother, Kirsten Henretty; father, Brian Verner;  brothers,  Mike Verner, Leo Verner; sister, Moire Austin (Zeb); nieces, Mia and Daffodil; nephew, Quinton; the Berserker Brotherhood, Zeb Austin, James Sullivan, and Boogeyman Rushin.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Alexander  Henretty; his uncle George Vochatzer.

The family asks anyone who knows and loves Nick to pay their respects in any way you feel to help us send him to Valhalla. Valhalla has received a great warrior, whom will never be forgotten. He put more into this world than he ever took out.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00, on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Papa Rick’s house, 21658 Prairie Rd, Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284.  There is  a potluck sign up sheet for people that want to come to the celebration of life at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B45AFA823A4F49-44369776-food

I am heartbroken to learn of this. I had Nick, Moire and Mike as students and can’t imagine how heartbreaking this is for the families and all who knew him.

I remember Nick as a big hearted, young man whose smile would always light up the room. Godspeed Nick. I will always remember you fondly. To the rest of the family I offer my deepest condolences.
