PATSY ELLEN DAVES, 66, a longtime Sedro-Woolley resident passed away on Sunday September 14, 2003 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
She was born on April 4, 1937 in Avery County, North Carolina, the daughter of M.C. & Maude Stafford Worley. She grew up in North Carolina until 1950 when she came to Sedro-Woolley, where she attended high school.
In 1954 she was united in marriage to Vern Kilcup, and from that union came her only child, Larry Kilcup. In 1957 she married Charles B. ‘Slim’ Daves and together they made their home in Sedro-Woolley for 40 years until his death in 1997.
Patsy worked in the housekeeping department at Three Rivers Inn in Sedro-Woolley for several years and also was a care giver to several members of her family. She was dedicated to her family, especially to her son and grandsons, to whom she was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.
When Patsy was not with her family she enjoyed playing bingo.
She leaves her son and daughter-in-law, Larry & Kathy Kilcup and her 4 grandsons, Brice, David, Daniel & Patrick Kilcup of Sedro-Woolley. 3 step-children, Carol, Darlene and Ivan Daves. 2 brothers & sisters-in-law, Clarence & Shirley Worley of Chehalis, WA and John & Pat Worley of Walla Walla, WA and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Slim, she was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Dick & Talmadge Worley.
