Paula Mae Rock

Thursday, March 14th, 2024

Paula Mae Rock, 38, of Sedro-Woolley, Washington passed away Thursday March 14, 2024, in Anacortes, WA.  Paula was born on April 30, 1985, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Frank D. and Marilyn S. Rock.

Paula spent some of her childhood in Minnesota, Seattle and finally settling in Sedro-Woolley with the rest of her family.  Paula was the president of the Upper Skagit Tribe’s Youth Council for many years along with many of the kids she grew up with including her life-long best friend, Shara.  Together they did a lot of good work for the youth of their own tribe and other tribes and had a ton of fun while they did it.  Paula attended Sedro-Woolley High School and enjoyed arts and crafts, beading, long car rides, but most of all she loved the time she spent with her family.  Her world revolved around her mom, kids, nieces and nephews, and she wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Paula is survived by her two older sisters, Suanna Luna and Amy Rock of Sedro-Woolley; the children she loved and raised, David Rock, Ali’ja Rock, Francesca, Isaiah and Xavier Ruiz; nieces and nephews whom she also loved and helped raise; Merleta Hendrix, John Hendrix Jr. and his wife, Sarah and Alexus Hendrix; great nieces and nephews, Mari’Anna and Francisco Valencia, Luciano, Aaliyah, Octavius, Gabriel and Ezekiel; niece and nephews through love; Kailani Sutton, Chayton Denunzio and Darien Vidauri; numerous cousins .

Paula is preceded in death by her parents, Frank D. Rock and Marilyn S. Rock; nephew, Gabriel Ruiz and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 6pm; Funeral Service Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 10am at the Upper Skagit Gymnasium; final resting place will be at the Hamilton Indian Cemetery.  Everyone is invited to share a meal with the family following burial.

Paula was taken from us too soon and she will be greatly missed.  She will live on in the people that loved and cherished her until we meet again.  Share your memories of Paula and sign the online guest register.
