      Phyllis Elaine Eldridge, 76, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 surrounded by her family.    She was born on Tuesday, April 20, 1937 in Concrete, WA, the daughter of Philip and Mathilda “Tillie” Taylor.

     Phyllis lived in Marblemount as a child, later moving to California returning to Washington in 1975 and she has been a resident of Skagit County for the past 35 years.  She was united in marriage to Lester Eldridge in Clear Lake on August 18, 1979.

     She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. Phyllis will be missed greatly by all those who knew her.

     Phyllis is survived by her husband, Lester Eldridge of Sedro-Woolley, WA; mother, Mathilda “Tillie” Taylor of Sedro-Woolley; daughters, Deanna Aguilar and her husband Obed, of Bakersfield, CA and Dianna Mero and her husband Ron of Alameda, CA; step-sons, Rick, Ronnie, Randy and  Russell Eldridge; sister, Pauline Wenrick and husband Wally; brother, Paul Taylor and wife, Jan; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Philip Taylor; sister, Grace Lemon and brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Reece.

         The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Jafari at the Regional Cancer Care Center in Mount Vernon.  

       Funeral Services will be held at the Valley Baptist Church, 710 John Liner Road in Sedro-Woolley at 1:30 PM, on Monday, October 7, 2013, with Pastor Mark Collins officiating.  Interment will follow at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.  The family requests that memorials be made to the Regional Cancer Care Center, 307 So. 14th St., Suite 100, Mount Vernon, WA 98274.
