Robert “Bob” Lee Trout, age 92, passed away September 26, 2013 in Sedro-Woolley, Washington of a lung infection. He was born to Helen and Howard Trout on October 18, 1920, in Pontiac Michigan.
Bob moved to Marion, Indiana in 1960, and worked for General Motors until he retired in 1976 after 34 years of service. Prior to working at General Motors Bob served his country in the Navy as an Aviation Machinist Mate Second Class during WW II. Bob’s time in the Navy gave him a love for world travel and other cultures. He loved sharing his many photo albums that journal his travels abroad. He was never short on stories and always eager to show the foreign currency collection he had accumulated. In addition to his love for travel, early in life Bob loved to ride his motorcycles, spend time hunting, and was a very accomplished golfer. For his retirement he relocated to Largo, Florida. During his retirement, Bob was an avid fisherman and loved spending time on the Pier in Indian Rock Beach or dancing at the supper club with his friends at Villa Capri.
Bob is survived by his two sons, Lewis Robert Trout, and his wife, Susan, and Kevin Bex Trout, and his wife, Deborah; grandchildren, Adam Trout, and his wife, Aimee, and Cody, Bex, David and Rachel Trout; great grandchildren, Savanah and Caleb.
Bob lived a long full life; he was a loving supportive friend, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed and remembered fondly by the many people he touched.
An Interment Ceremony will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Sylvan Abbey, Clearwater Florida.
Lewis & Family-
I first met Bob at Creekside when he lived in Indpendent Living. He would show me photo albums of his travels & share memories of his travels around the globe. He loved watching Lawrence Welk & faithfully watched the show when he could. Very caring & happy- Bob was always smiling.
I still have the bolo tie he gave me. I am still using the numerous pens from his chiropractor he gave me.
