Sallie F. ‘Flo’ Carrigan a resident of Sedro-Woolley, WA for the past 14 years passed away at her home with her family at her side on Thursday, January 30, 2003 at the age of 94 years. She was born February 17, 1908 in Burlington County, Iowa the daughter of Noah and Dorothea Kinese Landrum. Flo graduated from nursing school in 1928 and for many years she worked at various hospitals later residing in Pryor, Oklahoma before coming to Sedro-Woolley. She enjoyed watching sports and game shows on television. Flo is survived by her granddaughter Kyle McNair and her companion Mike Hobson of Sedro-Woolley. A great-granddaughter Laurye and her husband Nic Schmidt and a great-great-granddaughter McKynlee Schmidt all of Mount Vernon. A special friend and care giver Bell Hamilton of Sedro-Woolley. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Carrigan in 1962, a daughter Shirley McKensie in 1962, and a grandson Dale Carrigan in 1986.
The family would like to extend a special thankyou to Dr. Dale Abbott for his care and kindness shown to Flo. At Flo’s request there are to be no services. Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society. Arrangements and Services are under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley, WA.     Flo was quite the character. She allowed Dale, best friend ever, to use her new car to pick us up, me and weaver, from California. Think about the Carrigans alot.
