Sharron Louise Moody, age 75, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham, Washington. She was born October 26, 1941 in Sedro-Woolley, Washington to Hugh and Grace (Waddell) Mericle.
Sharron was a lifetime resident of Lyman and Punkin Center and was married to Tom Moody on September 13, 1957 in Sedro-Woolley and they would have celebrated their 60th anniversary this year. She began her career with the US Postal Service at the Lyman Post Office as a clerk and retired as Post Mistress after 33 years of service.
Sharron enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, flowers, garage sales, collecting and adding to her rooster collection. She loved people and dogs of all kinds, but most of all she enjoyed her family. Sharron attended and was a member of the Lyman Baptist Church.
Sharron is survived by her husband, Tom Moody of Punkin Center, two sons, Gregory T. Moody and his companion Jeanette Lockwood of Big Lake and Jeff S. Moody and his wife Teresa of Punkin Center; three grandchildren, Dallas Anne Moody and her fiance Omar Jimenez of New York City, New York, Dalton Thomas Moody of Bellingham, and Amanda Christine Moody of Burlington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Lawler of Marysville, Roberta (Babe) and Ray Melton of Punkin Center, Nancy Moody of Birdsview, Dan and Donna Moody of Punkin Center and John Gallagher of Lyman; cousins, John, Marcia, and Bill Landon of Seattle; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Barbara Medford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Mericle and Grace Padon; father and mother-in-law, Brice and Mollie Moody; brothers-in-law, Mack Moody, John Moody, Ed Moody, Jim Moody, Ernest (Tip) Mani, Arlis Lawler, and Jack Moody; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Gallagher and Nellie Mani; special aunt, Helen Landon; and a dear friend, Margie Conard.
Graveside Services will be Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 11:00AM at the Hamilton Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of her Life and potluck reception at the Lyman
Baptist Church with Pastor David Hodgins officiating. Visitation is available Wednesday thru Friday from 9AM to 5PM at Lemley Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society or the Arthritis Foundation 115 NE 100th St #350 Seattle, WA 98125.
Dear Tom and family, I knew Sharon my whole life she was a wonderful person. She and my sister Libby made me into a red head at 5 years old, we laughed about that ever since. Loved her. RIP my friend.

Thinking of you all as I can understand your pain, I hope we all can get some comfort in the fact that Sharron and my Mom are together again… They can do all the things they enjoyed, walking,talking & gardening to their hearts content. Heaven has become a much better place with the arrival of these 2 great ladies… they may be gone but will never be forgotten. Cherish your memories.
