Shirley Jean Hyatt, 86, a lifelong resident of Sedro-Woolley passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Mira Vista Care Center in Mount Vernon, Washington. She was born in Hamilton, Washington on March 19, 1938, the daughter of Clarence W. and Anna Lee (Parker) Ensley.

Graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1956, she married Leo Hyatt in 1956. Shirley worked at several grocery stores and at Skagit Valley College as a cashier. She left the working world in the early 70’s to be a homemaker and caregiver to her husband, Leo until his death in 1993. She loved baking cookies for the grandchildren and her neighbors. Shirley was a Mariners fan and watched all the games with her companion, Alfred Massingale. She also enjoyed listening to Alfred and his friends playing Bluegrass music.

Shirley is survived by her son, Ron Hyatt (companion Kirsty Lowery); grandchildren, Benjamin Hyatt, Joanna Uribe (Raul), Andrea Craig (Justin George), George Craig; great-grandchildren, Arrora Craig, Kydalynn Holzele, Leo Uribe, Natalie Uribe.

She is preceded in death by her husband Leo Hyatt; longtime companion, Al Massingale, parents, Clarence & Annalee Ensley; brother, Bill Ensley; grandson, Anthony Craig; niece, Cathy Schaffer; nephew, Rick Ensley.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00, on Friday, December 6, 2024 at the Lyman Cemetery in Lyman, WA, with Pastor Jim Cannon officiating. Following the service there will be a reception announced at the service. A time of visitation will be available at Lemley Chapel on Wednesday and Thursday from 9-5.
