STEVE ROBERT ROBAR, 66, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Monday December 1, 2003.
He was born on February 21, 1937 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Steve A. & Dorothy J. Bullard Robar.
Foremost, Steve was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was respected and loved by all who knew him.
Steve was a man of many talents, he was an accomplished writer and painter. He was a free spirit who enjoyed traveling and embracing local cultures. He was also a skilled craftsman, who honed his talents in ranching, commercial trucking and fishing, sponge diving, and a master carpenter and finishman in the boat and ship manufacturing industry.
A ‘few’ of his hobbies included sailing, fishing, panning for gold, wood working, reading, oil & watercolor painting and listening to Paul Harvey.
Steve is survived by his wife, Kathleen, at the family home in Sedro-Woolley.
3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Rita Sue & Frederick Hugelmann of Phoenix, AZ, Robin Lynn Robar of Sedro-Woolley, and Maria & Cory Campbell of Ferndale, WA. 3 sisters, Dorothy Frank of Wascella, AK, Kay Queen of Florence, AZ and Annette Juliussen of Anchorage, AK. 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his best friend, Michael Patrick of Sedro-Woolley.
There will be no formal funeral services. Steve’s ashes will be scatter sea, his favorite place to be.
