VIRGINIA ‘GINGER’ FIELDS VADEN-DUDLEY, 64, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on Tuesday May 10, 2005 at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle.
She was born on November 9, 1940, the daughter of Douglas and Gloria Collins Vaden. Although a native of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Ginger spent much of her life in Anchorage, Alaska before settling in Washington State
Ginger lived her full life at the center of her large and extended family which was, by far, her most important focus and has become the legacy she dreamed she would leave.
Ginger is survived by her son, Duane Dudley of Anchorage, AK; 2 daughters, Toni Bateman and her husband, John of Sedro-Woolley and Teri Vilkaitis of Fort Collins, CO; 8 grandchildren, Derek & Ambralee Dudley, Brady Hankins & his wife Amy; Eddie & wife to be Ellen Hankins; Christopher & Trevor Vilkaitis; Noel Cuevas and Jennifer White; 5 great-grandchildren, Izabella, Peter and Lillyanna Dudley, Jovan Cuevas and Cody Hankins; Her father, Douglas Vaden; Step-mother, Henrietta Vaden; 3 brothers, Curt Morris and Jim & Tom Vaden; 3 sisters, Sue Mock, Cindy Kriesel and Sheila Sparks; Aunt Arla Heath; sister-in-law, Irene Vaden; step sister, Jo Hamilton and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Gloria & Gerald Cadden.
The family suggests memorials be made to Surgery Medical Education at Virginia Mason Medical Center, c/o Virginia Mason Foundation, P.O. Box 1930 Seattle, Washington, 98111.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 14, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Christ the King Church on Riverside Drive in Mount Vernon with Pastor Rick Snodgrass officiating. Interment will follow at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.
