I lived across the street from Bud growing up. I never forgot him even though I moved away at age nine. That tells you something about him. We had tons of fun together. I’m sad he’s gone.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Lance, well said. Are class has lost so many great people the last couple of years it seems surreal. I have many memories that it’s hard to pick one out. Many good times during the years going to school. Buddy was one of a kind as I guess most of us are. My heart felt condolences to his family and many friends.

There sure are a ton of memories that flood back, remembering times with Buddy. We grew up in the same neighborhood together, went to Central Elementary, Cascade Jr. High, Sedro-Woolley High, Graduation…Buddy was always a part of us all, growing up. The Burnett;’s, the Ludwig’s, Blackburns…so many of our family’s all there, all growing up in that SW neighborhood. Remember some great times together, playing the “sand-lot football” at Mary Purcell, Central, anywhere we could find decent grass…even frozen sometimes, Yep. Buddy was one of us…one of the gang. Mandy said it perfect too, whenever he’d run into you, it was like time had never really passed. He cared. He remembered good times. He remembered and appreciated the values of good friends, of good people. Buddy was a wonderful soul. He was a wonderful human being. He cared about people. He cared about “things”.
My sister Vanessa would always fill me in on times/conversations she’d have with Buddy when she ran into him around the Sedro-Woolley area. He’d always ask about me and how I was doing…he’d launch into old stories growing up…telling Vanessa to say “Hi” to me when she talked to me next, when I was living down in California.
We have lost a very good friend…and our condolences go out, so very heart-felt, to all Buddy’s friends & family.
We’ll be there in spirit with you all tomorrow at his services. Buddy will live on in our memories, but most importantly, in our hearts. You can’t get any better than Eternity….RIP Buddy…

My condolences to Bud’s family. We were class mates for all twelve years and childhood neighbors and playmates. Each time I encountered Buddy in our adult lives he would give me that sincere and friendly smile & a big hug. We would talk like no time had ever passed. He was a very good man. God rest his soul.
